Our company PROTEAS – PAPAIOANNOU BROS SA represents one of the most dynamic
companies in manufacturing furniture products. Throughout our 60-year old experience our
company has generated trends, has been pioneer in creating a brand name with character
and philosophy giving a different breath in Greek furniture sector.
The initial aim of the company was from its first steps the continuous seeking of ways to fully
satisfy customers’ living desires who feel their home as a space of relaxation in day-to-day
life.
The history starts in 1956. In Greece those days manufacturing furniture demanded
handicraftsman and only a few tools available. The evolution in the furniture manufacturing
sector has been rapid, following the twentieth century’s swiftness. Mr. Vasilis Papaioannou,
founder of our company, has always been one step ahead and has managed to move from
handicraftsman to standard industrial furniture through research and investments.
The small carpentry workshop transformed to a privately owned up-to-day factory of 12.500
m2 capacity in a land of 56.000 m2, equipped by the latest technology machines .
Our company today is managed by people with spirit of continuously searching for new
ideas, but who also show their faith, care and devotion to cooperators and company’s
human resources .
Our PROTEAS products range is continuously expanding and enriching. Based in its Greek
industrial production its support a dynamic network of sales with selected cooperators all
around Greece and Cyprus,
but also in other 11 countries in three different continents .
Throughout the years our company has achieved important co operations that have
changed the company’s route. PROTEAS brings in Greece the famous Italian group BERLONI
Spa that engaged in kitchen furniture and as an exclusive representative creates one of the
largest network of shops in Greece and Cyprus.
